Artist's Comments
This is Jack, a member of the Nightwatch of Old Sarasee town. Jack's people have been part of local legend for hundreds of years but recent members of his race have made contact with the human settlers. Jack was fascinated with humans and sought to enter their society to study them. However, he soon found work was only available in labour and bodyguard work for denizens of the night.
Finally, his search for work led him to Old Sarasee town and its Nightwatch- a group of local lawmen who guard the town from marauding night creatures and patrol the deserts. As the first non-human sheriff of the Nightwatch, Jack has had to fight for acceptance. However, the abilities of Jack's people, such as reading auras and blending into shadow have been a valuable asset to the Nightwatchers. Jack rides Skrell, an animal specially imported from his home, as horses cannot bear the auras emitted by the night people. ----------- So yeah, practicing with vectors a bit. Done in Photoshop with the pen tool, so I'm assuming I've loaded it to the right catagory..... Based off a sketch in my book and a story in my head. Your critque is greatly appreciated, please lend me some of your experience and insight. ^^ |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
